Evaluating the cost of living in Turkey

Two of the important living costs are food cost and transportation.

Food cost is not very high in turkey comparing to the European countries specially in small cities like Ankara and Izmir.

The cost of a meal in restaurants differs place by place and city by city. But normally it is even cheaper for students.

Transportation cost

All of transportation modes are available in the city like metro, metro bus, bus and dulmus. Transportation cost by public transport is usually 1-2 liras using Istanbul cards. You can 50% discount if  you are a student in Turkey. Taxis all uses taxi meter.
